Rentify Cebu — rental terms
Version 2026-10-27. Published 27 October 2026. Applies prospectively to agreements supplied and accepted under this version; existing accepted bookings are not rewritten.
These terms describe rentals arranged through Rentify Mobility, operating Rentify Cebu. Your accepted booking details identify the vehicle, service, dates, prices, operating partner where applicable and any vehicle-specific conditions. A request, estimate or unpaid hold is not a confirmed paid booking. No new term applies retrospectively to a booking accepted under an earlier version.
1. Booking, eligibility and payment
Start with your dates and times, select an available vehicle and services, and review the full breakdown before paying. Online rentals require at least 24 hours. Availability includes preparation time between rentals; it does not increase your agreed driving time.
For self-drive rentals, the existing minimum driver age is 21. Every driver must hold a valid licence appropriate for the vehicle and be authorized in the rental arrangement. Confirm the selected operator’s additional requirements, including any foreign-licence documentation, before payment. Passenger bookings with a chauffeur do not automatically require the passenger to satisfy self-drive driver rules. Present required identification through the agreed private verification or handover process, never in public comments.
Pay only through the options actually offered in checkout or a separately confirmed Rentify arrangement. PayMongo and PayPal availability can vary. Check for successful provider payment and the matching Rentify booking confirmation. A payment screenshot, started checkout, administrative hold or Booking Pass alone is not independent confirmation that funds cleared. If money was deducted without confirmation, contact Rentify before paying again.
Rental prepayment, any expressly agreed partial-payment arrangement and the refundable security deposit are different items. Do not assume the security deposit secures an unpaid online reservation. Any outstanding rental amount and due date must be agreed before handover.
2. Prices, service options and vehicle suitability
The accepted breakdown controls the agreed rental price and separately identified services. Review delivery, return collection, chauffeur, cleaning, route-related and other applicable charges before payment. No unquoted surcharge is created by these terms.
Garage pickup and return, delivery only, return collection only, or delivery and collection may be offered. Airport and hotel handovers require an agreed location, schedule and meeting instructions. Vehicle delivery is not automatically a passenger transfer, tour or free airport service. Tell us about flight changes promptly.
For a car, MPV, SUV or passenger van, check the selected unit’s approved seating, seat belts, luggage space and driver arrangement. A model name or advertised seat count does not guarantee space for every passenger and bag. Do not exceed the vehicle’s approved load or capacity.
3. Refundable security deposit
- Small cars and motorcycles: ₱1,500.
- MPVs and larger vehicle categories, including crossovers: ₱2,000.
Confirm the selected vehicle’s category and collector in the handover arrangement. The deposit is separate from rental prepayment. The operator records its receipt and, following return and inspection, itemizes any agreed and documented deductions, such as a fuel shortfall, and returns the remaining balance. Confirm the return method and expected release time at handover; undisputed amounts should not be withheld to pressure payment of a disputed item.
The deposit is not automatically forfeited for cancellation and is not an insurance premium or a ceiling on lawful liability. No saved-card debit, blanket damage charge or whole-deposit forfeiture is authorized by this notice. Raise disputed deductions with Rentify and request the inspection and calculation records.
4. Fuel, local mileage and inter-island travel
Return the vehicle at the same fuel level recorded at handover. Record the handover and return levels together. A fuel-consumption guide is available on request; actual consumption varies with vehicle, traffic, load, route and driving. It is guidance, not a guaranteed economy figure.
A fuel shortfall must be supported by the recorded levels and an itemized, agreed charging basis. Where no separate refuelling service fee was disclosed and accepted, do not add one after return. Do not impose an automatic full-tank charge when the recorded starting level was lower.
There is no kilometre cap for travel within Cebu during the confirmed rental period. This does not extend your return time. Declare any inter-island or outside-Cebu trip before booking and obtain confirmation for the particular vehicle, route, operator permission, ferry arrangements, applicable charges and insurance conditions before travel. Selecting an option is not blanket approval for every island or ferry route. Ask about a route involving a ferry even when its destination is within Cebu province.
5. Renter cancellation and refunds
Cutoffs use the confirmed pickup or service-start time in Asia/Manila. Send cancellation to the booking contact shown in your confirmation or admin@rentifycebu.com. The relevant time is receipt, not the time staff replies. Include enough booking information to identify the request privately.
- More than 72 hours before pickup: full refund of rental payment and unused prepaid services.
- Exactly 72 hours or less before pickup: Rentify may retain up to one prepaid day’s base vehicle-rental charge and refunds the unused rental remainder.
For this cancellation cap, one prepaid day means the agreed base charge for the first 24 hours in the accepted breakdown, after applicable discounts. It excludes delivery, collection, chauffeur services and the security deposit. The retained charge cannot exceed the prepaid base-rental component. It is not the standard daily rate used in the separate late-return clause.
Unused prepaid delivery, collection and chauffeur services are refunded. For renter cancellation, an expressly agreed service or leg already completed may remain payable and must be identified separately. Merely preparing a vehicle or assigning a driver does not make the entire service performed. Outbound delivery does not make unused return collection nonrefundable. Do not charge twice for the same item or weaken the more-than-72-hour refund promise through undisclosed supplier costs.
A security deposit already collected for a booking cancelled before handover is returned separately, not added to the cancellation charge. After actual use, supported return deductions are assessed separately.
No-show: do not treat a renter as a no-show merely because a flight or arrival is late. Rentify must use the agreed arrival instructions, attempt contact and assess any notified delay. If the renter does not attend or communicate and the booking is treated as a no-show, the same up-to-one-prepaid-base-day cap applies; do not forfeit an entire unused multi-day rental. Any specific waiting deadline must have been agreed before payment.
Voluntary early return: unused reserved rental days are not automatically refundable. Unperformed optional services and the deposit are assessed separately. A company or vehicle failure must not be reclassified as a voluntary early return.
Date changes: a request does not change the reservation. Revised availability, price and any expressly agreed conditions require confirmation. There is no automatic rescheduling fee or unlimited right to change dates under this notice.
6. If Rentify cannot provide the agreed service
Before the rental begins, you may accept a suitable alternative or receive a full refund for the unprovided booking, including any deposit collected. No renter-cancellation penalty or forced voucher applies. A substitute must be suitable and accepted; do not assume a different vehicle is equivalent without checking passenger, luggage and service needs.
If failure occurs after the rental starts, Rentify will work with you on an acceptable solution or refund the affected, unprovided portion. A refund or alternative for the next renter must not wait for collection of a late-return charge from another customer.
For severe weather, official closures, unsafe travel or other disruption, contact Rentify promptly. Assess the affected service, actual safety restrictions and any suitable alternative, postponement or refund under the agreement and applicable law. Do not drive unsafely to avoid a fee. No blanket “no refunds in all circumstances” rule overrides consumer rights.
7. Refund handling
Rentify must give an itemized calculation separating rental, any retained cancellation amount, performed and unperformed services, the deposit, supported deductions and previous refunds. The service target is to initiate an agreed eligible refund within five business days after the booking, entitlement and receiving details have been verified. Explain promptly if a dispute or missing information prevents completion; do not restart the target merely because staff has not replied.
Initiation is different from bank or wallet posting. Timing and available refund routes depend on the original provider and payment date. If the normal provider window has expired, agree a secure alternative rather than declaring an otherwise valid refund unavailable. Do not send passwords, one-time codes or full card details. A promised full refund is not reduced automatically by Rentify’s nonreturned processor fees.
8. Return, extension and self-drive late charges
Return at the agreed time and location using the agreed safe handover procedure. Contact Rentify before the due time if an extension or delay is expected—24 hours ahead where practicable, or immediately for an unexpected delay. An extension is valid only after express confirmation of availability, price and revised return time. A request or payment offer alone does not authorize continued use.
Inspection, safety checks, washing, cleaning/disinfection and transport for the next handover require preparation time. The booking page’s six-hour preparation buffer is not additional renter driving time. Rentify must protect the next reservation and should begin alternative planning as soon as a delay threatens readiness, without waiting for a full-day charge to arise.
The following new self-drive schedule applies only where it and the vehicle’s standard daily base rate were disclosed and accepted before payment. The standard rate is fixed for that agreement, before promotional discounts; it is not a later increased price. Where that disclosure and acceptance cannot be shown, do not impose this new schedule automatically.
- A 30-minute billing grace follows the agreed due time. It is not permission to extend.
- After grace, charge 20% of the disclosed standard daily base rate for each started overdue hour measured after that grace.
- At exactly 4 hours 30 minutes late, the charge is 80%. Once delay exceeds 4 hours 30 minutes, it reaches one full standard daily base rate.
- The charge is capped at one standard daily base rate per 24-hour overdue block. Subsequent blocks have no repeated grace: 20% per started hour, capped at one day per block.
For example, if return is due at 10:00 AM, there is no time fee through 10:30 AM; the full-day threshold is passed after 2:30 PM. This does not mean the renter may keep a vehicle needed for another booking. An approved extension uses its agreed price, not an additional late penalty for the same approved period.
Do not count staff collection, inspection or system-update delay as renter lateness when the renter and vehicle were ready at the agreed place and time and the renter followed handover instructions. A photograph of an unattended vehicle is not automatically a completed safe return. Assess breakdown, official closure, exceptional unavoidable events and responsibility fairly; no unlawful or unsafe return is required.
9. Documented onward-booking disruption
Where an attributable late return directly causes necessary, reasonable and legally recoverable incremental replacement or transport costs, Rentify may present a supported claim. Rentify must mitigate the loss and provide the calculation and evidence. Ordinary preparation costs, company fault, overbooking, speculative future revenue or the gross price of the next customer’s entire booking are not automatic renter charges.
Calculate additional costs after avoided original supplier costs, credits and other recovery. Credit the time fee against the same-delay disruption loss rather than simply stacking both. Only a supported positive balance above that fee is additionally claimed; for the same covered disruption, the combined amount is no more than the higher of the applicable time fee and proved recoverable net incremental loss. Distinct damage or other agreed obligations require their own evidence and must not duplicate the same loss.
This is not automatic authority to debit a saved card, forfeit a deposit or decide a disputed claim unilaterally. Recovery remains subject to the accepted agreement, proof, applicable law and dispute resolution. Request clarification and supporting records from Rentify.
10. Chauffeur services
Chauffeur packages apply only where offered and accepted for the selected trip. Agree the service hours, itinerary, inclusions and any overtime, meals, accommodation, tolls or route charges before payment. No universal overtime rate is created here.
Self-drive late-return charges do not automatically apply to a chauffeured passenger because Rentify or the operator’s driver is late. A customer-requested itinerary or service extension requires an agreed change and any previously disclosed overtime conditions. Allocate delay by its actual cause.
11. Insurance, vehicle care and incidents
Standard car insurance is included without a separate standard-insurance premium. Rentify currently offers no optional additional insurance package through its operators. Any future third-party product would be explained separately, not treated as available now.
Actual cover, permitted rental use, exclusions and any excess or deductible depend on the selected vehicle’s insurance and agreement. Check those particulars before payment. Included insurance does not mean every incident is covered, that excess is zero or that the deposit limits liability. Motorcycle insurance and route eligibility require their own confirmation. No universal free towing, replacement or 24/7 roadside service is promised.
Use the vehicle lawfully and with reasonable care. Do not allow unauthorized driving, overloading or illegal or unsafe use. Record the vehicle condition and accessories at handover and return, allowing for ordinary wear. Notify Rentify promptly of damage, breakdown or an incident; prioritize safety and emergency assistance where needed. Follow lawful reporting and insurer requirements. Liability must be assessed on the evidence, agreement and law, not imposed automatically for every incident regardless of cause.
12. Records, privacy and applicable rights
Keep your booking confirmation and private Booking Pass securely. Do not publish a live QR or private booking link. The fictional Juan De la Cruz illustration on the homepage is not a real customer’s booking or a verified testimonial.
Read Rentify’s Privacy Policy for information handling. Nothing here removes non-waivable consumer or privacy rights. Philippine law applies, with access to appropriate complaint, mediation or court processes; no complaint suppression, review-removal condition or compulsory voucher is imposed.
13. Questions or disputes
Contact admin@rentifycebu.com or 0962 669 2298. Give your booking reference and the specific concern privately. Ask for an itemized explanation and supporting records for a disputed charge. Keep your original agreement/version; publishing an update does not rewrite it.
