Rentify Cebu — Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10-27. Published 27 October 2026.
1. Who is responsible and how to contact us
Rentify Mobility, operating Rentify Cebu, is responsible for the personal information it handles for its rental-booking website and related customer service. For privacy questions and requests, contact admin@rentifycebu.com or 0962 669 2298. Business contact location: F. Pacana St., Tisa, Cebu City, Cebu 6000, Philippines. This contact is not described as a registered Data Protection Officer.
This notice concerns Rentify’s handling of information. An independent vehicle operator, insurer, payment service or social platform may have its own responsibilities and privacy notice for information it receives. Ask us which operating partner will provide your selected rental.
2. Information used for a booking or inquiry
- Contact and booking details you provide: name, email, telephone, rental dates and times, vehicle, services, pickup/delivery/return locations, trip requirements and customer-service messages.
- Rental and transaction records: booking reference, agreed price and services, payment-provider reference/status, confirmation, refund and dispute information, and handover/return records where relevant.
- Identity and driving documents requested for a particular rental: only information reasonably required for lawful eligibility, verification, security or a specific legal obligation. The operator must explain its requirements and private collection process; a public availability search does not require publishing your ID.
- Technical information: IP address, browser/device information, page and interaction data, referral or advertising-click information, and cookie or similar identifiers. These may be personal information when linked to you; they are not automatically anonymous.
3. Why information is processed
Booking information is used to answer an inquiry, take steps you request before a rental, arrange and administer the accepted service, communicate with you, reconcile payment, provide confirmations, coordinate handover/return, and handle support, refunds or disputes.
Depending on the information and purpose, processing must rely on an applicable lawful basis under Philippine data-protection law: steps toward or performance of the rental contract, a relevant legal obligation, a properly assessed legitimate interest with appropriate safeguards, or specific valid consent where required. Contract necessity does not automatically authorize every use of an identity document or optional marketing activity.
Government identifiers and other sensitive personal information require the applicable additional legal condition, such as specific informed consent where appropriate or a relevant legal requirement. Do not submit unnecessary sensitive details. We must explain the purpose, recipient and required information rather than treating general acceptance of rental terms as blanket consent to unrelated uses.
4. Payments
Online payment is completed through the provider presented in checkout, including PayMongo or PayPal when offered. The provider processes information entered in its payment flow under its own privacy notice. Rentify uses related booking and payment references, status and amounts to reconcile the transaction and manage the rental or refund.
Never send Rentify a payment password, one-time code or complete card details through email, chat or public comments. This notice does not claim that every system or log has been independently audited or certified.

5. Who may receive information
Access and disclosure must be limited to the information needed for the relevant purpose. Recipients can include authorized Rentify personnel; the selected vehicle operator or chauffeur for service delivery and handover; payment/refund providers; hosting, email and technical-support providers; and professional advisers, insurers or public authorities where a specific incident, lawful claim or legal requirement calls for it.
A chauffeur or operator does not need every payment or identity field merely because they deliver a vehicle. Each recipient’s access and responsibilities should match its role. Advertising/analytics services are discussed separately below; a rental is not permission to make your private booking or ID public.
Some service providers may process information outside the Philippines. Relevant transfers require appropriate contractual and other safeguards and an applicable lawful basis. Ask the privacy contact about the recipient or processing of a particular record; this notice is not a claim that all providers store data only in the Philippines.
6. Cookies, browser storage, analytics and advertising
The site uses technical functions to maintain booking interactions and security. The booking interface can retain selected vehicle, dates, services and entered booking-draft values in browser local or session storage so you can continue between pages. Local storage may remain after closing a tab until cleared. On a shared device, avoid leaving a draft containing your details; you may clear this site’s stored data through your browser, understanding that it can remove an unfinished selection or sign you out.
The site includes Google analytics/advertising and Meta tracking integrations for measuring visits and booking-funnel actions, understanding campaign referrals and advertising performance. These integrations can involve cookie or click identifiers, page information, vehicle/service interaction data and transaction-related event references. Do not assume these identifiers are anonymous. A platform-attributed event is not by itself proof of a paid booking.
Optional analytics or advertising processing must use the lawful basis and choices required for that use. This policy does not itself switch optional tracking on or off or replace a working consent control. Use any applicable on-site choice presented to you, browser cookie/storage controls and the relevant provider’s privacy controls. Blocking browser functions may affect the booking experience; cookie controls do not necessarily remove server-side records. Contact us if you need help understanding or objecting to a particular use.
Google privacy information · Meta privacy information. External maps, social links, reviews or other embedded services may collect information under their own policies when used or loaded.
7. Your Booking Pass and public content
Your booking confirmation, Booking Pass and PDF may be sent to the contact channels used for your booking. A real QR or private booking link may provide access to booking information. Keep it private, share it only with people who need it and contact Rentify if it was exposed.
The public Juan De la Cruz Booking Pass illustration is fictional; it does not open a real customer’s reservation or prove an actual transaction. Public use of identifiable renter photographs, testimonials or booking material needs appropriate permission and privacy safeguards separate from operational booking use. Do not post IDs, live pass links or private transaction details in reviews or comments.
8. Retention and security
Keep information only for as long as its legitimate purpose and applicable obligations require. Booking, payment and refund records may be needed through service completion, reconciliation, applicable accounting/legal recordkeeping and genuine dispute periods. Support records should be limited to the inquiry and relevant follow-up. Identity copies must not be retained indefinitely simply because they were once requested; assess whether verification results can be retained with less information instead. Analytics identifiers and provider records are also affected by the relevant service configuration and provider rules.
When a purpose ends and no lawful retention reason remains, records should be securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized under the applicable process. A genuine legal hold can delay deletion; backup expiry and provider retention may differ from active-record deletion. Ask us about the applicable retention criteria and status for your information. This notice does not promise instant deletion from every backup or claim an unverified universal retention period.
Use appropriate organizational, physical and technical safeguards, proportionate access and secure handling. No website or transfer can be guaranteed risk-free. Report suspected exposure promptly to the privacy contact, without including unnecessary copies of the exposed sensitive material.
9. Your rights and requests
Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may request information about processing, access, correction, objection, erasure or blocking, and data portability where applicable; you may withdraw consent for processing that relies on it and exercise other rights under Philippine law. Withdrawal does not automatically erase records lawfully needed for a rental, accounting, security or a genuine dispute, or invalidate processing already lawfully completed.
Email admin@rentifycebu.com with the concern and enough context to identify the record. We may seek proportionate identity verification to protect your information; a full ID copy is not automatically required for every request. We should explain the action, any lawful limitation and the applicable response process. Do not email passwords, one-time codes or full card details.
You may also contact the Philippine National Privacy Commission about privacy concerns and available complaint procedures. Rental cancellation and a data-erasure request are different requests; say which action you want.
10. Updates
The published version and date appear above. Materially new purposes or processing require the applicable information, lawful basis and any necessary choices; updating this text is not automatic consent to them. Earlier accepted rental terms and records remain subject to applicable rights and obligations.
